Spy's like us

After watching the movie Ghost Protocol, I handed an envelope to Connor and Olivia asking if they chose to accept the mission.  They did.

Our adventure was at 5 Wits in Foxboro.

Connor and Olivia accepted the Espionage challenge. We needed to discover the mole in our organization who gave secret spy satellite plans to our enemy.

Our mission started in an inconspicuous Rug Shop that was bugged with listening devices!

After that we went through a secret back door and down and elevator to sneak into a secret lab.

   But oh no! We had to deal with lasers!

After barely getting thru the laser hallway we entered a lab where we needed to find key cards. After discovering they had already completed the spy satellite we moved to the next room....

 and found a BOMB!

After we were not able to diffuse the bomb we hurried to the bomb shelter! Inside we heard the blast... we were safe but the door was locked and we needed to align the fuses.

Upon returning to the room with the bomb, we found not much left of the room, everything was destroyed. We did however discover the mole.

Our mission as spy's was complete!

Olivia's Destination Imagination Competition

Olivia's third grade participated in Destination Imagination competition which...

"Destination ImagiNation (DI) is an educational program in which student teams solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at Tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills—they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving."

Unfortunately my cell phone with video and pics was unable to be recovered but Olivia and her team did a fantastic job. The only 3rd grade team there! Amazing

On this day I was torn between Minuteman Park (the site of the shot heard round the world at the Battle Of Lexington and Concord or another unfamiliar one).

The day started at the Wayside Inn Gristmill

From here my mind was still on heading to Minuteman Park so I took Olivia and Connor to a Revolutionary War Cemetery in Sudbury Mass.

From here my mind decided to go to the unfamiliar one due to time and the closeness to lunch. We ended up at Drumlin Farm in Lexington. I had driven by a few times and it did not look that bad. Well looks are deceiving, we spent 4 hours there.

On the day we went it was pick your own Strawberries Day. This was so much fun. The place was full of every type of animal, exhibit and nature trail. After that we went to lunch.

With Olivia in Softball and Connor in baseball, we spent the day perfecting the swings at the batting cages. Followed by a lunch.

For Earth Day April 21, 2012 Connor, Olivia and I went to a State Park to participate in clean up. We chose Purgatory Chasm.

April Fools 2012

April Fools Day fell on a Sunday in 2012.

So after this breakfast I told Connor and Olivia to get showered and dressed.  I then drove to our local church and proceeded in. At the last second I turned around and they kept going in. Then they realized I was not there turned to me and I said "April Fools!"

Later in the day we did make Easter Eggs
